TFS Case Manager - [West Covina & Pasadena]

Summary: The Case Manager position provides family-centered, client-focused, relationship-based case management services to pregnant teens, teen parents, their children and other family members under the auspices of the statewide Standards of the Adolescent Family Life Program (AFLP), with additional state regulations for the Cal Learn program.  This position effectively utilizes agency policies and procedures and makes appropriate independent judgments in the course of daily work

Qualifications:

•  BA/BS in Social Science; one year of related experience

• Bilingual in Spanish Preferred

• Excellent organizational skills to manage high activity level

• Knowledge and sensitivity to cultural differences

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

•  Initiative and flexibility, creativity, and enthusiasm

• Extremely detail-oriented; high level of accuracy

• Ability to effectively and successfully interact with individuals from diverse socio-economic/ethnic groups

• Ability to keep information confidential

•  Excellent interpersonal skills

• Ability to be an excellent representative of the agency to the community

•  Affinity for working with adolescents and young children
