Contract Psychiatrist
The Psychiatrist provides evaluation and medication support for children and adolescents and consultation with clinical staff.  The position provides diagnoses and medication support to patients with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders by providing psychiatric assessments and on-going treatment.  The position will organize patient intake data, examine patient, order labs and other tests, determine nature and extent of disorder, treat or direct the treatment of patients.  The psychiatrist carries a caseload of a minimum of 8 client hours per week and completes all required documentation.

Qualifications:
• Complete four year residency training in the field of psychiatry and graduate from medical school with M.D. Degree.
• Licensed to practice psychiatry in the State of California
• California Driver's License
• Ability to make sound clinical judgments
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Experience in providing direct service and treatment to individuals, families and groups
• Excellent team member providing intensive/inclusive care
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively and successfully interact with individuals from diverse socio-economic/ethnic groups
• Ability to keep information confidential
• Provide proof of 1 million/3 million malpractice policy
