Therapist, Early Esteem -
[Duarte]
Therapist in the Early Esteem Program will work in New Hope and Home Program with children 0-5 and their young mothers. Therapist will provide training for childcare providers about identification of mental health problems. Provide mental health and child abuse assessments, mental health treatment, treatment to parent-child pairs, family therapy and child abuse treatment.
Qualifications:
• Masters Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology
• Registered or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, MFT, or Psychologist
• Bilingual - Spanish required
• Experience working with children in pre-school and kindergarten
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Experience in providing direct service and treatment to individuals, families and groups
• Experience with assessing and diagnosing children and adolescents
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively and successfully interact with individuals from diverse socio-economic/ethnic groups
• Willingness to work in the community and in client homes
• Ability to keep information confidential
• Ability to be an excellent representative of the agency to the community
