Volunteer

The Friends of Foothill Family, a philanthropic group of over 100 Pasadena, San Marino, South Pasadena and La Canada-Flintridge members, was founded in 2000, by civic leaders and volunteers, Lori Winters Samuels and Shannon Seiter Williamson. The Friends of Foothill Family plan and coordinate Foothill Family's annual fundraising gala, held in early spring; the agency's Back-to-School Backpack Program; and the annual holiday Adopt-A Family Program.

Since its inception, the Friends group has refurbished the Children's Waiting Room at Foothill Family's Oak Knoll site; landscaped the Oak Knoll site front garden; coordinated the first Daisy Scouts flower planting at the Oak Knoll site; provided books, clothing, backpacks, and holiday gifts for clients throughout San Gabriel Valley; and raised net revenues of nearly $497,000 over the past 5 years to support our programs and services through the Annual Benefit.
