Making an Impact in Schools

Dance workshops are just one of the innovative ways Foothill Family is partnering with schools to build resilience and improve the emotional well-being of students throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Through our school-based programs, we provide onsite therapy at 183 schools across 18 districts, ensuring youth feel valued, heard, and empowered.

Choreographers behind the magic

This special initiative is brought to life in collaboration with Kris Lythgoe, producer of So You Think You Can Dance and Foothill Family Board Member. Our workshops feature top choreographers who have worked with some of the biggest names in music, inspiring students through the joy of movement.

This project was funded (in part) by a grant from Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts.

“The creative outlet that was provided by Foothill
Family was the Dance Workshop. I think that does
really give them this other way to express maybe
what they’re feeling. This traumatic event that has
bonded our community, the Dance Workshop was an
event that bonded them in the sense of joy..”
