Nearly 100 years ago, Foothill Family’s founder, Mrs. Josephine Marsh, gathered her family and friends to support neighbors in need. In a simple yet powerful gesture, she passed her hat around the room to collect donations—an act of kindness that planted the seeds for what would become Foothill Family.

Pass the Hat carries forward that legacy, honoring our history while embracing our mission to empower children and families on their journey to achieve personal success. Just as Mrs. Marsh’s act of generosity sparked lasting change, today this tradition continues to inspire hope and opportunity.

Aligned with Foothill Family’s vision of generations of healthy families and thriving communities, Pass the Hat reminds us that when we come together—even in small ways—we can make a profound difference in the lives of others.

The event is FREE to sign up and open to the public – invite anyone and everyone you know!

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Expect amazing testimonials, celebrating friends – old and new, and, of course,
a friendly competition of fundraising among the teams!
