EMPOWERING PREGNANT & PARENTING TEENS

Teen Family Services (TFS) is a specialized case management program designed to support pregnant and parenting teens. Through dedicated guidance and support, our goal is to help participants graduate from high school or its equivalent, become self-sufficient, and raise thriving families.

    • Required Support for CalWORKs Teen Parents
      If you’re receiving CalWORKs and meet the eligibility criteria, this program is a mandatory—but empowering—step to help you stay on track toward graduation and independence.

    • Personalized, One-on-One Case Management
      Every participant is matched with a dedicated case manager who provides individualized guidance, goal-setting support, and ongoing encouragement.

    • Access to Essential Resources
      We connect you to vital services in your community, including healthcare, housing, education, mental health support, and more—ensuring you never have to navigate challenges alone.

    • Help with School-Related Costs
      To keep you focused on your education, the program covers key expenses during enrollment—like child care, transportation, and school supplies—removing common barriers to success.

    • Earn While You Learn
      Receive financial incentives as you reach academic goals such as strong attendance and grade improvements. Your hard work pays off—literally.

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

     

    • Be under the age of 19
      This program is designed specifically for pregnant and parenting teens who are navigating the unique challenges of early parenthood.
    • Live in the same household as your child
      To ensure we’re supporting actively involved parents, participants must reside with their child.
    • Not yet have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
      Whether you’ve recently left school or are looking to return, we’re here to help you finish your education and achieve your goals.
    • Be currently receiving CalWORKs assistance
      This program is a required support for eligible teen parents receiving CalWORKs through LA County.
    • Reside in the San Gabriel Valley or Pomona Valley
      Services are available to teens living in these regions of Los Angeles County.
