ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Early STEPS strengthens access to developmental services for children ages 0 to 5 who may be at risk for developmental delays. We empower families and support professionals through free workshops, training, and short-term case management.

This program is made possible by the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and is available at no cost to eligible families and organizations.

FOR FAMILIES

If you have questions or concerns about your child’s development, we’re here to help.

Services include:

  • Parent Workshops on child development, behavior, and community resources

  • Family & Me Activities that encourage bonding and developmental play

  • Short-Term Case Management to connect families with the Regional Center and other services

FOR PROFESSIONALS & COMMUNITY PARTNERS 

Early STEPS provides free trainings and outreach workshops to support the work you do with young children and families.

We offer:

  • Professional development workshops for educators and service providers

  • Trainings on ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE screening tools

  • In-service presentations at your site or virtually

  • Family-centered workshops hosted at your organization

ELIGIBILITY

  • Child must be ages 0–5

  • Must live within the San Gabriel/Pomona or Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center areas

  • No income limits; services available in English and Spanish
