PASADENA, Calif. – Foothill Family is proud to have been awarded a $15,000 grant from the Bank of America Charitable Gift Fund – General Fund, Bank of America, N.A. Trustee. The funds will support Foothill Family’s mental health services toward early childhood development, child abuse and domestic violence prevention and treatment, school-based behavioral health, and individual and family counseling.
Prior to the 2017 mental health grant, the Bank of America Charitable Gift Fund awarded the agency a $10,000 grant in 2014 supporting the Early Esteem program. Centered on the mental health of children from birth to age five, Early Esteem aims to enhance family relationships from a child’s earliest stages, focusing on the development and social-emotional growth of children as a tool for prevention and early intervention. According to statistics from the RAND Corporation, for each dollar spent on well-designed early childhood intervention, up to $17 is returned to society as a result of education, employment, and crime prevention and reduction.
